We have many parents volunteers chairing our various PTSA Committees.  We always need volunteers to help with the many school and PTSA functions throughout the year.  If you are available for an hour, a day, or just in the evenings/weekends - we have a need that would fit your schedule.  Please contact karenptsa@att.net if you are interested or have any questions.

Book Fair

Box Tops for Education

     boxtops_logo		 Families save and send in General Mill's box tops and Campbell's soup labels.  These items are redeemed for educational equipment, materials and cash donations to our school.  Get involved and help clip coupons for several box tops drives during the year.  Click HERE for Box Tops page.

Cultural Arts

cultural_arts		 Work with the Art teacher to display art projects in the halls and lobby.  Organize vendors for Cultural Arts days and assist students in visiting artists.  Help display student art from Framed Art night.  Frey is the 2nd school in Cobb County to have a glass kiln purchased by PTSA!!

Recycle_bin

Trails_lookout		 Gardening:  Volunteer with design and planting of Frey's flower beds, front sign, gardens, nature walks and island areas.  Help plan projects for Earth day, Arbor day or the Pumpkin Carving Contest!  Bring your creativity as we create a lobby display of Georgia's animals and nature from our trails!

Recycling:  Help Frey go green!  Each month we monitor the school recycle bins for paper, ink cartridges, batteries and cell phone.  These programs earn money for the school and teach our students to be aware of our resources.

Outdoor Education Classrooms:  Volunteer to upkeep the trails, nature walks and classrooms for the students to learn and enjoy.  Help paint birdhouses to place in trees on the nature trails.  Click HERE for Trails Map.

Educational Enrichment

educational_enrichment		 The Executive Board has booked many educational programs for the 2010-2011 school year.  Help organize the pre-order  forms and author/science visits to the school. Join us as we bring The Science Guy, Mrs. Claus and several Authors to brighten the student's education!!

health_nutrition		 The Health and Nutrition Committee works to educate students to make healthy choices.  Coordinate school blood drive with Red Cross, and escort students to/from the Vision and Hearing screenings.

Public Relations

 The Public Relations Committee helps to spread the word about all of the great events going on at Frey.  Provide monthly photos and information to the local papers.  Work with the Journalism club (4th & 5th graders)  to coordinate articles!!

Red Ribbon Week

 The Red Ribbon week is an awareness for all people to make a commitment to live a drug-free lifestyle!  Volunteers help decorate the lobby, bring out the Penny-war jugs and present winners for poster contests.

Reflections

 Reflections is a cultural arts contest sponsored by the National PTA and is open to all Frey Elementary students.  Entries must be the student's original work and will be judged at the local school level.  Selected entries will then move onto the county level, state level and possibly the national level for recognition!!

Science Fair

science_fair		 Students have the opportunity to enter science projects for judging by grade level.  Volunteers organize entry forms, assist with setup and check-in of student projects and awards ceremony.

School Dance
80s_mullet
80's Theme		 The Frey School Dance is a huge hit with our students, staff and parents!!  There is dancing to a live DJ, cake walks, contests, pizza, cotton candy, photographers and Guitar Hero!  Volunteers help plan and decorate for the dance... cool!
